Oxford Casino Hotel Celebrates Over $1 Million Raised for Maine Charities and Non-Profits

OXFORD, ME. (February 24, 2023) – Oxford Casino Hotel (“Oxford Casino”) announced today that it has officially reached an important milestone of over $1 million raised for local charities. For the past 10 years, Oxford Casino has made tremendous efforts to give back to its surrounding communities. From its inception, the center for Southern Maine’s entertainment has made extending a helping hand to local charities, non-profits and food pantries a central part of its mission.

Through Oxford Casino’s “Give $5 Get $10” and “Give for Change” promotions, guests of the casino are encouraged to join in the effort by donating cash, expired tickets, and/or change receipts to the weekly (Give $5) and monthly (Give for Change) designated recipients to help support causes with local impact.

“The best thing about this program is that 100 percent of the donations go directly to the cause,” says Matt Gallagher, General Manager at Oxford Casino. “Every year, we see an increase in requests for assistance and it is clear just how valuable these programs can be. From providing meal assistance to local pantries, to housing for homeless Veterans, Oxford Casino sees the need and continues to expand our outreach and ability to promote positive change in the State of Maine.”
