COVID-19 UPDATE

March 24, 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE:

As businesses around Maine continue to make significant COVID-19 related modifications to their operations, life continues to change for us on a daily basis as well. We encourage each of you to follow current guidance, limit your exposure to groups and gatherings, and keep the safety and security of you and your family top-of-mind.

In order to follow these guidelines and work toward a time when we can offer a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members, Oxford Casino Hotel and Event Center will delay our previously expected date of reopening until further notice. Just as you have been following the guidance of self-quarantine and social distancing, we know that continuing to remain closed is the right thing to do for our guests and team members.

Please know that even though local government has required us to close our gaming facility, we continued to work on many positive items with you, our community, and our team members in mind including:

• Local Community Assistance: we have donated perishable food items to area food banks
• Promotions: we are also dedicated to bringing you more fun and exciting promotions, drawings and events as soon as we are able to reopen
• Tier Status: your Players Club Tier status will be extended so you do not lose valuable Tier points you may have qualified for since January
• Earned Bonuses: don’t forget, any Points or other benefits you have earned previously will still be available to redeem as soon as we reopen

March 16, 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE:

In the best interest of our guests, employees and the community around us amid public health concerns regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, Oxford Casino & Hotel has made the difficult decision to voluntarily suspend operations, effective Monday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m. until further notice. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Oxford Casino Hotel. We sincerely apologize for this abrupt notice and any inconvenience it may cause.

The safety and health of our guests, team members, and the protection of our entire community remains our primary concern at Oxford Casino Hotel. With a heightened awareness of the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are monitoring the situation with steadfast vigilance thanks to resources provided by the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control as well as public health officials and experts.

Oxford Casino Hotel is committed to providing a safe and comfortable experience for our guests and will look forward to returning to full operation when authorities determine it is appropriate to do so. We will continue normal payroll for team members during the fourteen-day suspension and we are grateful for their commitment to our company and our guests during these uncertain times.

March 13, 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE:

As valued guests of Oxford Casino Hotel, we recognize that many of you are concerned about the developing impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and we want to take a moment to share an update about what our organization is doing during this time.

The safety and health of our guests, team members and participants remain our top priority. We are monitoring the ongoing developments of COVID-19 with vigilance and are following the recommendations provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health experts.

At the Front Desk:

All commonly touched items and surfaces are being regularly and continuously disinfected, and additional hand sanitizer will be available to you across all areas of Oxford Casino Hotel.

In Room:

All hard surfaces will continue to be cleaned with high-grade disinfectant and multi-purpose cleaner on a regular basis. Staff will also be using disposable hand wipes as opposed to reusable cloth to clean, disinfect and sanitize.

Across the Board:

We are ensuring all staff members are well informed about COVID-19 and taking extra precautions to maintain guests’ and their own health, such as staying home if feeling at all ill. Additionally, all areas will continue to be thoroughly cleaned in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Cancellation Policy:

In light of the developing situation, we will be waiving all fees associated with the cancellation or rescheduling of your stay at Oxford Casino Hotel. We understand these are difficult times and want our guests to feel the utmost relaxation when they visit. This waiver of fees is in effect now through April 30, 2020.

We encourage all of our guests to follow the preventative actions outlined by the CDC and to make informed decisions based on official information. Please find federal recommendations here: www.cdc.gov.

It is our hope that guests trust that we are taking this situation seriously and enacting all necessary protocol to maintain a clean and safe space here at Oxford Casino Hotel.  We pride ourselves on our extraordinary attention to detail and guest experience and want to provide you with nothing but the best.
