Desiree has always liked cleaning, thought to herself “why not?” and joined our team here! Although Desiree has only been with us here at Oxford Casino Hotel for a few months, her eagerness and willingness to learn and take on new challenges has allowed her to ALREADY advance in her career here!

When you come to a casino, you most likely have winning on the mind. Perhaps you planned out which slots you intend to play or know which table you want to visit. One thing that may not occur to you? Having a good time…in the bathroom! That just means you haven’t met Desiree. She may be assigned the task of tidying, but what she really does is so much more! She goes above and beyond to make our guests experience not only clean, but comfortable and FUN. You’ll also often see her out and about on the floor – happily holding machines, greeting and assisting guests, or jumping in wherever the team needs.

If you’re wondering what keeps her positivity flowing every day, we’ve got the secret: family. Not only does Desiree absorb joy from her family at home, but from her Oxford Casino Hotel team as well. We asked her what the best benefit of working here was, and she beamed, “I gained a new family working here. I absolutely love my job.”
