Let’s see how the Queen of Clean got to where she is now!

Would you believe it if we told you that Susan sarted with us in 2015 in the Security department? Well you better believe it! After 20+ years in the medical field, Susan decided it was time for a change and joined us here at Oxford Casino Hotel, and we are so glad she did. After spending some time in Security, Susan decided to shift gears and make her move to Housekeeping, and ever since then, the impact she’s made in her department is immeasurable. 

On a day-to-day basis you can find Susan tending to her designated area – ensuring it is clean and that our guests are safe and having wicked good fun! Susan is a team player and will always help out where she is needed all while making sure her own tasks are taken care of. In this role, you can also often find Susan managing the day shift in a Supervisory position. Being a Dual Rate Supervisor in the Housekeeping department allows Susan the flexibility in hours so that she has the time to tend to her plants, hike in the woods, or walk by the ocean.

When we asked Susan what she’d recommend to someone considering a position at Oxford, or to someone looking to advance their career, her biggest suggestion was to “ask questions, because the more you know, the easier it is for the whole team to do a good job and work together.”

Susan’s work ethic and team spirit is truly infectious and appreciated by all who work with and around her. If you’ve had the pleasure of interacting with Susan, you know that she is energetic, friendly, and always good for a smile when you need it. Meeting new people every day is one of Susan’s favorite parts of working here, so be sure to say hello next time you see her around, we promise you won’t regret it!
