Oxford Casino to Sponsor July Pole Day
LOUDON, N.H. – If there’s a sure thing, it’s that fans across New England love NASCAR racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. So, it’s a safe bet that pole day in July will give fans plenty to cheer about with Oxford Casino serving as the official sponsor. Oxford Casino Pole Day is scheduled for Friday, July 11 when NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers attempt to qualify for the Camping World RV Sales 301 in group format for the very first time at the 1.058-mile oval.
“We’re pushing all of our chips in when it comes to Friday qualifying,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “We have tremendous racing scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. But with NASCAR’s new group qualifying format, pole day presents an awesome opportunity for fans to see Sunday racing on Friday. We’re proud to have Oxford Casino place a bet on us; we’ll make sure it’s a winner.”
There is plenty of on-track action scheduled for Oxford Casino Pole Day on Friday, July 11, including the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Modified All-Star Shootout at 2:10 p.m.; two rounds of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying for the Camping World RV Sales 301 beginning at 4:35 p.m.; and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Granite State 100 at 6:00 p.m.

Forty minutes from Portland and located in the gateway to Maine’s Lakes and Mountains Region, Oxford Casino, which opened its doors in June of 2012, features more than 850 slot machines and 26 table games. As part of its partnership with the speedway, visitors of the casino will be given 10 unique opportunities to be part of a private lunch with Gappens on Friday, July 11.
