Blackjack is the most played casino game in the world

The object of blackjack is to have a hand that is closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand, without going over (busting). Numbered cards count as their natural value, face cards count as ten, and Aces can count as one or eleven. Any hand made with an Ace that cannot bust is considered to be a soft hand. For example, Ace + 8 is a soft 19 in that it will not bust if a 10 is added to it.

Many tables feature one of these wicked fun side bets! Click the image to learn more!

PLAYING THE GAME

The player is dealt two cards face up while the dealer is dealt one card face down (the hole-card) and one card face up (the up-card). The player is always the first to pay. The player will stand (signified by waiving a hand over the cards) or hit (drawing cards, signified by tapping on the table) until a hand is made or until the hand busts. After all of the players at the table have taken their turns, the dealer will turn over the hole-card and play out the house hand. The dealer is required to hit when the value of the hand is a soft 17 or less and must stand on a hard 17 or better.

PAY OFFS

With the exception of a blackjack, which consists of an Ace and 10 or a face card on the original hand, all wins are paid 1:1 (even money). If the player is dealt a blackjack and the dealer does not also have a blackjack, the player is paid 3:2, also referred to as time and a half. If the dealer’s hand and the player’s hand are equal, the outcome is a push (tie), and the hand is over with no winner or loser.

DOUBLING DOWN

A player may place an additional bet on the first two cards that is equal to or less than the original bet. The player then gets one card and must stand on the resulting hand. If the player wins, the payout is 1:1 on both bets.

SPLITTING

If a player’s first two cards have the same value, the hand may be split into two separate hands by placing an additional bet that is equal to the original bet. Both hands are then played out separately. With the exception of Aces (which get one card each), doubling is allowed after splitting cards. Aces can only be split once. If a ten is drawn on either hand after the Aces are split, it is not considered to be a blackjack and, if the hand is a winner, has a playoff of 1:1 (not 3:2, like a blackjack).

INSURANCE

If the dealer’s up-card is an Ace, the player has the option to insure the bet by placing an additional wager on the insurance line that is up to or equal to half of the original bet. If the dealer has a blackjack, the player gets paid 2:1 on the insurance bet but loses the original bet. If a player has a blackjack, the player may elect to be paid even money on the original bet, instead of the normal 3:2.

Features Heads-Up Play Against the Dealer

Ultimate Texas Hold’em® also features the optional Trips bet!

This game gives the player several advantages:

• The earlier the player bets, the higher the bets can be.
• The player doesn’t have to fold until all the community cards are revealed.
• The trips bonus pays odds if the player’s final five-card hand is a three-of-a-kind or better.

Available Progressive bets:

PLAYING THE GAME

The player makes equal bets in the ante and blind circles. The player may also make the trips and progressive bets. Once all bets are down, the player receives two cards.

BET BIG… OR SMALL… OR NOT AT ALL

Players are dealt two cards and they can either check or make a bet 3x to 4x the player’s ante. The dealer then reveals the three-card flop. If the player hasn’t made a play bet, they can check or bet 2x the ante. The dealer then reveals the final two community cards. If the player hasn’t already made a play bet, then they may either fold or bet 1x the ante.

WINNING & LOSING

The dealer then reveals their two hole cards and announces the hand. If the player’s hand beats the dealer’s hand, the play and ante bets win even money. If the dealer’s hand beats the player’s hand, the play, ante, and blind wagers lose. If both hands tie, those bets push. The blind pays if the player’s winning hand is at least a straight and pushes if the player’s winning hand is less than a straight.

DEALER QUALIFYING

The dealer needs a pair to qualify. When the dealer doesn’t qualify, the player’s ante will push and be returned. All other bets placed will receive action.

BLIND BETS

  • The blind bet wins when the player wins with a straight or higher.
  • If the player wins with less than a straight, the blind pushes.
  • If the player’s hand loses to the dealer, the blind bet loses.
  • When the player’s hand ties, the blind bet pushes.

Once again, the player can fold or stay in the game by making the 5th Street bet of 1x to 3x the player’s ante.

A Fun Variation of Blackjack

Bahama Bonus Blackjack™ is dealt using a 48 card Pontoon (10’s removed) deck. The fun begins with all of the special rules given to the players!

PLAYING THE GAME: Make a bet to play against the dealer. As in standard Blackjack, you and the dealer will get two starting cards. Cards are counted at their face value. Kings, Queens, and Jacks each count as 10. Aces may count as 1 or 11. The dealer must hit a soft 17 (a total score of 17 using the Ace as an 11). The dealer must stay on hard 17 (a total score of 17 where the Ace cannot be used as an 11). If a dealer’s point total exceeds 21, the dealer loses and all players still active in the game, with a point total of 21 or less, win. If the dealer has a score of 17-21, the dealer will pay any player hand with a point total greater than the dealer and the dealer will take (collect) any player bet where the player hand has a point total less than the dealer. All player bets where the player’s hand is equal to the dealer’s hand will be considered a push (tie). Winning bets are paid at even money (1 to 1) with the exception of blackjack (the first two cards consist of a Jack, Queen, or King plus an Ace) which is paid at 3 to 2.

SPECIAL PLAYER-FRIENDLY RULES:

  • Doubling on ANY number of cards
  • You may RE-DOUBLE after doubling down for a total of three doubles. You must double your total wager to that point, and will get one additional card.
  • Double Down Rescue – After doubling, players may choose to rescue (take back) the last doubled portion of the bet.
    • For a rescue, a player would forfeit half of the then existing wager, the maximum wager allowed if the last doubled portion hit the cap. Busted doubles cannot be rescued. Double Down Rescue should not be confused with or called surrender. A player may surrender any first two card hand after the dealer has checked for blackjack and always gives up ½ of their bet. Rescue on the other hand applies only to a doubled hand which will be 3 or more cards and can only rescue the last doubled portion of the bet, forfeiting half of the total wager.
  • Player blackjack beats a dealer blackjack – paid at 3 to 2.
  • Player 21 beats a dealer 21 (but not a dealer blackjack).

SPECIAL PAYOUTS (DOUBLING VOIDS ALL SPECIAL PAYOUTS):

  • Player point total achieving 21 in:
    • 5 Cards PAYS 3 to 2

SPIN THE WHEEL TO WIN!

This classic casino game involves a wheel with 38 numbered slots. Roulette is a game played on a wheel with numbers ranging from 1–36 plus 0 and 00. The object of Roulette is to select the number that the ball will come to rest.

PLAYING THE GAME

Depending on the action at the table, a player may be allowed to wager with value chips or may be required to purchase a unique color of non-value chips for currency.

The denomination of the non-value chip is notated by a lammer placed in a designated area near the wheel representing the color of the chip. The value of the lammer correlates to 1/20th of the number on the lammer. For example:

  • 20 denotes $1.00 chips
  • 100 denotes $5.00 chips
  • 500 denotes $25.00 chips

Once wagers are placed, the dealer will spin the ball, wave off any additional bets, and then announce the outcome after the ball lands in a position.

WAGERS

There are multiple bets that can be made across the layout. These bets are broken out as:

  • Inside Bets: a bet which is placed on an individual number(s) within the field of 38 numbers (including 0 and 00) on the wheel.
    • INSIDE BETS PAY TABLE
      • Straight Up – any 1 number PAYS 35 to 1
      • Split – placed on 2 numbers PAYS 17 to 1
      • Street – any 3 numbers in a row PAYS 11 to 1
      • Corner – 4 numbers PAYS 8 to 1
      • Top Line – 5 numbers including 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 PAYS 6 to 1
      • Line Bet – 6 numbers in 2 rows PAYS 5 to 1

  • Outside Bets: a bet encompassing a specified group of numbers. 0 and 00 are excluded from each group. Bets are capped to the outside bet table maximum.
    • OUTSIDE BETS PAY TABLE
      • Even/Odd PAYS Even Money
      • Black/Red PAYS Even Money
      • 1-18 or 19-36 PAYS Even Money
      • Dozens Bet – First, Second or Third 12 PAYS 2 to 1
      • Columns – any of the 12 numbers in the column PAYS 2 to 1

DEALING THE GAME

1. At the beginning of betting, the dealer will announce, “Place your bets,” and allow ample time for players to place their bets.

2. With approximately five revolutions left before the ball drops, the dealer will announce “No more bets,” and wave their hand across the table.

3. After the ball has settled on a number on the wheel, the dealer will place a “dolly” on the corresponding number on the table. The dealer will then proceed to clear the non-winning bets and pay the winning bets.

Roulette at Oxford Casino Hotel

A Table Game Filled with Excitement

Craps is a game played with two six-sided dice that, when rolled simultaneously, result in an outcome between 2 and 12 which is derived by adding the numbers on the top facing side of each die. The objective is to establish a “point” by rolling a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 on the initial roll of the dice (the “come out roll”), then rolling that number again before rolling a 7. Once the point has been established, rolling a 7 will end the roll and the dice will be passed to the next player.

Available side bets:

PLAYING THE GAME

Players make their wagers in accordance with table limits and prior to the dice being passed to the “shooter” (the player with the dice).

To be the shooter, a player must make a Pass or Don’t Pass Line Bet. For the initial roll, the stickman will slide 5 dice to the shooter. The shooter selects two out of five dice and rolls them to the opposite end of the table, making a reasonable effort to hit the wall with the dice.

On the come out roll, those who bet on the Pass Line will win on a 7 or 11 and lose on a 2, 3 or 12. Those betting on the Don’t Pass will lose on a 7 or 11, win on a 2 or 3, and push on a 12. If any other number rolls (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10), the corresponding number on the layout will be marked with a puck, establishing the point.

WAGERS

Wagers must be made before the dice are thrown. There are multiple bets that can be made across the layout. These bets are broken out as:

  • Pass Line Bet: an even money bet. On the come out roll, the player wins with 7 or 11 and loses on 2, 3 or 12. Any other number rolled is the “point” and the shooter must throw that number again before a 7 is rolled. If a 7 is rolled before the point, the bet loses. Players may take odds, which will be posted at the table. Pass Line Bets cannot be removed or reduced, but may be increased, although once increased, they may not be reduced. Odds may be removed or reduced prior to any roll.

  • Don’t Pass Bet: an even money bet. On the come out roll, the player wins with a 2 or 3, loses with a 7 or 11, and pushes with a 12. Any other number rolled is the “point” and if a 7 is rolled before that number, the player wins. If the “point” is rolled before a 7, the player loses. Players may lay odds, which will be posted at the table. Don’t Pass Bets cannot be placed or increased while the Puck is ON but may be removed or decreased after a point is established. Odds may be picked up or reduced prior to any roll.

  • Come Bets: an even money bet. Come Bets work the same as a Pass Line Bet, except they occur after a “Point” has been established.

  • Don’t Come Bets: an even money bet. Don’t Come Bets work the same as a Don’t Pass Line Bet, except occur after a “Point” has been established.

  • Place Bets: are bets that consist of the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. Players may place their chips on the layout before the dice are thrown and announce their bet to the dealer. The bet will be placed in the designated location by the dealer. If the shooter rolls the number, it wins. If the shooter rolls a 7, it loses. A Place bets remains on the layout until it loses or the player requests that it be taken down. Place bets may be removed by the player at any time prior to a 7 being thrown. Place bets do not have action on the Come Out roll to establish a point unless called ON by the player. When this happens, the dealer will notate such by placing an “ON” lammer on the appropriate bet(s).

  • Buy Bets: are “Place Bets” where the player pays a 5% commission on the amount of the bet at the time the bet is made. Buy Bets are valid until a 7 is rolled while the bet is on. Each time a Buy Bet wins, the commission will need to be repaid. Buy Bets are designated with a “BUY” lammer placed on top of the appropriate bet(s). Buy Bets do not “work” on a Come Out Roll unless called ON by the player. All other rules regarding Place Bets apply to Buy Bets. Players wishing to take down their Buy Bets may do so before any roll and will receive any commission paid.

  • Lay Bets: occur after a Point has been established and are the opposite of Buy Bets, where the player pays a 5% commission is charged on the bet based upon the potential winning payoff at the time the bet is made. Lay Bets are designated with a “LAY” lammer placed on top of the appropriate bet(s). If the Shooter rolls the number, the player loses. If the Shooter rolls a 7, the player wins. Lay Bets may be increased, decreased or removed by the player at any time prior to a roll. Players wishing to take down their Lay Bet will receive the commission back. Lay Bets may be called ON and OFF. Lay Bets are always working unless taken down. Once paid, the Lay Bet is taken down and given to the player along with the winning wager, unless requested for the bet to remain.

  • Odds: are supplemental wagers in support of a Pass Line, Don’t Pass Line, Come or Don’t Come Bet. Players may take or lay odds up to the posted table maximums.

  • Hardway Bets: are even numbers rolled in pairs adding up to 4 (two 2s), 6 (two 3s), 8 (two 4s) and 10 (two 5s). Other pairs (including two 1s and two 6s) are not included in Hardway Bets. A Hardway Bet wins when the number is rolled in pair format and loses if the number is rolled in any other format or a 7 is rolled.

  • Single Roll Bets: can be made at any time, consist of the next roll of the dice only, lasting only one bet, and include:
    • Field Bet: if the next roll is a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, the bet wins. This pays even money (1 to 1) unless a 2 or 12 is rolled then it pays 2 to 1. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Any Craps: a combination bet if the next roll is a 2, 3 or 12, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • 3-Way Craps: is a bet on each number 2, 3 and 12 (each number gets 1/3 of the bet) that if the next roll is a 2, 3 or 12, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Craps 2: if the next roll is a 2, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Craps 3: if the next roll is a 3, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Craps 4: if the next roll is a 12, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Any 7 (or Big Red): if the next roll is a 7, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • 11 (or YO): if the next roll is an 11, the bet wins. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Horn Bet: is a bet on the 2, 3, 11, and 12. If any of those numbers are rolled, the bet wins and is paid accordingly. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Horn High Bet: is a bet on the 2, 3, 11 and 12, with an additional unit on one of the numbers. If any of those numbers are rolled, the bet wins and is paid accordingly. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • World Bet (or Whirl Bet): is a bet on the 2, 3, 7, 11, and 12. If a 2, 3, 11 or 12 are rolled, the bet wins and is paid accordingly. If a 7 is rolled, the bet is a push and may be taken down at the player’s request. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • Craps or Eleven (or C&E): is a bet on the 2, 3, 11 and 12 with half of the wager on the Any Craps and half on the 11 (or Yo). If a 2, 3, 11 or 12 are rolled, the bet wins and is paid accordingly. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.
    • High, Low, YO: is a bet on the 2, 11 and 12 (each number gets 1/3 of the bet). If a 2, 11 or 12 are rolled, the bet wins and is paid accordingly. If any other number is rolled, the bet loses.

TAKING/PAYING OF WAGERS

A Fast Paced and Thrilling Card Game

Mini Baccarat – Mini-Baccarat has the same rules as big table baccarat. However, unlike the game at the big table, the dealer turns over all the cards, instead of the players handling the cards, making for a much faster game. The odds are exactly the same as those of the big table, assuming the same number of decks. Featuring: DRAGON BONUS!

PLAYING THE GAME

The object of Mini-Baccarat, or Mini-Bac, is to bet which hand —the banker or the player —will have a value closest to 9. A third option is to bet on a tie between the two hands.

BASIC RULES

Mini-Baccarat is played with eight, standard, fifty-two card decks with all jokers removed. Once all wagers have been placed, the dealer will deal four cards with the first and third card going to the player hand and the second and fourth card going to the banker hand.

CARD VALUES

In Mini-Baccarat, aces count as one, and tens and face cards count as zero. The remaining cards (2-9) are counted at their face value. If a drawn card takes the value of the hand over 9, the new value will be the sum of the cards minus 10. For example, if the starting hand is 2+3 (total of 5) and a 9 is drawn, the new value of the hand is 4 (2+3+9-10).

GAME PLAY

Player Hand

If the bank does not have a natural 8 or 9 and the player’s first two cards equal 0 to 5, the player will always draw a third card.

The player will always stand on a total of 6, 7, 8, or 9.

If the player’s first two cards total 8 or 9, the hand is considered a natural, and neither hand is allowed to draw a card. A winning player bet pays 1:1 (even money).

  • Total of first 2 cards
    • 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 – Player must draw
    • 6 or 7 – Player must stand
    • 8 or 9 – Player must stand “Natural”

Ties

If the player’s hand and banker’s hand result in identical totals, the tie bet wins and the player and banker bets push. A winning tie bet pays 8:1.

Banker Hand

If the player’s hand totals 6 or 7, the banker will draw on 0 through 5 and stand on 6 through 9.

If the player’s hand does not have a natural 8 or 9, the banker’s hand will always draw on 0 through 2.

For all other point totals, the banker will observe the following rules:

  • When the first two cards in the banker’s hand total:
    • 3
      • The banker draws when the player’s third card is a: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 or 0
      • The banker stands when the player’s third card is a: 8
    • 4
      • The banker draws when the player’s third card is a: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7
      • The banker stands when the player’s third card is a: 1, 8, 9 or 0
    • 5
      • The banker draws when the player’s third card is a: 4, 5, 6 or 7
      • The banker stands when the player’s third card is a: 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 or 0
    • 6
      • The banker draws when the player’s third card is a: 6 or 7
      • The banker stands when the player’s third card is a: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 or 0
    • 7
      • The banker stands
    • 8 or 9
      • The banker stands (“Natural”)

No cards are drawn if either the banker’s hand or the player’s hand has a natural 8 or 9.

A winning banker bet pays 1:1 (even money) minus a 5% commission.

DRAGON BONUS®

Dragon Bonus is an optional wager for Mini-Baccarat that pays when your hand is a natural winner or wins by a large margin. The highest payout is for a non-natural that wins by nine points.
