November beneficiary: Harrison Food Bank

“The Harrison Food Bank offers food assistance at no cost to Western Maine residents in need. We operate as a non-profit (501 c-3), charitable organization that believes access to nutritious food is a basic human right.  We are committed to responding to the needs of our community for food distribution to see that no person goes hungry. We value respect, compassion, and the dignity of each person.  We strive to provide general support and healthy food choice education whenever possible.”

The Food Bank is open for drive-thru distribution on Tuesdays from noon to 6:00 p.m. If school is canceled in Harrison on a Tuesday the Food Bank will be closed. It will be open on Wednesday during the same hours.
